Fine he's a cheat but it was at a time when 99% of all cyclists were blood doping.If he didn't cheat he would have been a nobody and would never have raised all the money and saved the thousands of lifes through his Livestrong Foundation. To even get on a bike following his illness was a miracle.
For that reason i think he's an absolute legend.

I agree.
Everyone was doing it so he did the same.
Did a lot of good work for charity so he is ok in my eyes.

It wasn't the cheating that made him a cunt. It was the way he made himself out to be above that sort of thing and denied it all the way through even when the evidence was stacked against him.
I find it ironic that people are now praising his honesty. Fuck him.

When it's it is pervasive as it was in cycling you would basically come down to giving up the sport at that level or sign up for the injections.
What really gets me is the hypocrisy in other sports. It's ridiculous to think, given the rewards, that the football isn't riddled with drugs, and don't even get me started on American Football.

We COULD get you started, Cappers...but then within a few minutes you'd have to stop, for no reason that could be discerned, while some little bloke in a cap and a stripy jersey came out and pointed and shouted at people, before sitting back down again, so you could resume. Repeat several dozen times with a hundred advert breaks and Diana Ross in a frightwig kicking a wonky ball.

How can he justify intimidating people into silence. We'll start with the Irish masseuse that was part of his doped up team.
